    Hi guys

EPX MTBs are simply stuck with 26" wheels without any possibility to "upgrade" to bigger wheels or so it seems.

Earlier today, I went to a proton t-bolt (EPX reef) fire sale not too far from Kuala Lumpur. A local university bought quite a number of these bicycle years ago and they are still in good/OK condition except for the tyres.

An employee of the university managed to buy the whole lot at wholesale price and he was selling them for less than USD100 each. I accompanied a friend to buy one to be used as a beginner MTB.

While discussing with the university employee, apparently there is a group of t-bolt MT bikers who has successfully done conversion to 27.5. No issues for the fork but for the swing arm, the process is as follow

    1. cut/grind off a sufficient amount of material to accommodate bigger wheels
    2. grind off sharp edges
    3. voila... a swing arm that can welcome 27.5 inch wheels

    I'll post some pictures afterwards

I have an EPX terrashark... i wonder if i can simply grind carbon fibre
