Here's my TS, with Spengle carbon-fiber wheels, RaceFace carbon-fiber-insert cranks, Psylo forks, Fox rear shock, Magura Louise brakes, Ritchey bars and seatpost and Shimano XTR derailleurs. I bought this new in 2002 and have ridden it an average of 3x/week since then, mainly x/c and mild downhill. I've had a couple of crashes and broken bones, but nothing serious. I'm 66. |

| Thanks for the kudos.
The weight is around 29+. It's been quite a while since I weighed it.
I love these Spengle wheels! They never go out of true and the finish is pretty tough, although they do have a few nicks.
Just FYI, when I bought these wheels ($1,200 for both) I was told that the factory in Austria made 500 sets a year, and 400 went to Porsche for their
Evolution MTB (image attached). The other 100 were split up, 20 sets each to the U.S., Great Britain, etc. So it seemed lucky to get a set of these. I was told that they're actually a bit heavier than spoked wheels, but to be honest, I bought them for their looks, especially when paired with the EPX. |
