| Hi, I have run mine with a 190mm shock for a couple of years and haven't had this problem, even with 2.35 tyres and about 20mm of seat pole poking out below the seat mast. What mount did you use to put the longer shock in? I am using one supplied from the ex-epx dealer here in Australia. Lance |

I am currently rebuilding one of my t-bolts (I have 2, one is 16" and the other 18"). I normally use the 16" bike as the smaller bike feels like a better fit for me. Like you guys, I bought the extended mount piece and hooked it up to my 16" bike and noticed that the clearance (between the tyre and seatpost tube) was very small. Next thing I did was take a measuring tape and simulated (i bought the extended mounts first, haven't bought the 190mm shocks yet) where the wheel would be when I bottom out. I wasn't surprised to find out that when you bottom out on a 16" frame, the wheel will get dangerously close to the seat post tubing. Seems like this is not the case with the larger 18" frame as the seat post tube is situated higher and with more clearance above the rear shock. Maybe I migh have to change to using an 18"? |
