My terrashark has manitou black forks and a DNM air shock in the rear.

The DNM looses pressure over a few days, is that normal or is it near death?

Also what would be a suitable replacement XC fork for the manitou, my priority is for a cheap price, light weight over 6" travel.

The bike is riden as a fast XC bike with no street stunts of massive droppoffs.

perhaps someone out there in epx word has a fork they can sell me?

last question, where do I get an extralong seat pole as the standard ones are to short?

thanks for reading

kingnuggie, try stripping down the shock, (let the air out first), the body should unscrew, and check the seals for dirt also check how smooth the shock body is,it sounds like you have some micro scratches in it which will let air out slowly,

As far as forks, I used to have a pair of Marzocchi AM4's they have 140mm travel but used to be the lightest long travel forks around and I picked them up for under £100, the other option which I have now moved to is Maverick DUC 32's extremely light with 6" travel, they require regular maintenance but are easily maintained with full Maverick support, I just changed the seals and replaced the oil and it took me about 20 minutes!

thanks leshark

yes the rear shock had some small scratches on the shaft, can I replace the 165mm shock with a 200mm one without stufing up th egeometry to much?

Kingnuggie, why don't you check out Australian ebay. A seller called Cyclic bikes is selling DNM shocks at the moment for about $25 or $30 Australian. I think it is evan from epx Mellbourne. I've just recently bought a terrashark frame and 3 fox float shocks from him. He is a top bloke.

Thanks Mark, the yellow 303 frame came was from Greenfish and thel dura-ace build kit from Supergo ( when they were about) even had the dura-ace hubs in the wheel set. I just finished a silver 303 (from Evan this time) and built that up with with SRAM rival gear and Easton EA50 wheel-set. About a kilo heaver than the yellow one but almost $2000 cheaper. My new project is two of Evans unpainted MTB frames with carbon chain-stays (early hammerheads I think). Haven't decided on the build to do yet.

Over the past 5 years of owning EPX's and getting specs of their site I never once considered downloading all of it. Wish I had done now, it had heaps of good info on it in the early days. I always thought it would just be there. Sad to have seen it disappear.

Don't fret Noel... I've saved everything that was ever on this and previous EPX websites, and am gathering further information for posting to the site soon.
