I talked to my TerraShark riding buddy and he is going to get a shock mount for me to work from soon. It looks pretty straightforward, so maybe I will get one done in a couple weeks. It all depends on my other work load. |

Excellent! So it looks like shipping was 9 days to New Zealand from here. Faster shipping is available, but $4.00 for worldwide shipping in under two weeks is not bad. |

It was less than a week even.. I think 4-5 days. I just had it sitting here for a while before I opened it. Thanks for sending it through. Rob |

Posted By Aaron Ang on 18 Jan 2010 10:31 PM
No problems The Machinist my offer stands... I hope the guys that got the RD hangers can provide some feedback on how it holds up, I'm tempted to get it as well.
My buddy still hasn't come through with the shock mount, so if you want, you can ship me the spare that you have. I just had another inquiry about the longer mounts. P.S. - Does anybody have any feedback on the hangers that have been shipped out? |

I intend to write some feedback about The Machinist's RD hangers when I get my bike serviced later on this year - it's just a question of finance that's stopping me doing it so far. Derek |

It looks like the shipping price should be about the same as other countries like UK and New Zealand that I have already shipped to. You can order with PayPal directly from my website billetmetalcraft.com. The price with shipping is $29.00 USD for one hanger. |

Wondering why this thread has been rated with one star. I have had no complaints from anyone. I just shipped six more this week and did another run so there are plenty in stock. I am also looking at making some hangers that are OEM style without the extra material. Any interest? |

It's probably just someone playing with the stars. I'll click on 5 stars now and that'll bring it up again. I can't change a rating once it has been made but I could drop the ratings altogether if it looks like they aren't being used. I've also just realised something's wrong with the forum editor so I'll get that fixed up too. Rob |

Sorry this has taken so long. Finally got the bike serviced this weekend and had the new hangar fitted. It slotted in perfectly and works like a dream - thank you very much, Asher. If anyone has any doubts about this, then don't: the craftsmanship was of the highest standard and the price was great. I am so glad that this Forum exists and that services like the one Asher provides can be sourced. Good work all round! Derek |

Thanks for posting your review, Derek. The first hangers were fitted to a few frames and I actually removed a little extra material to ensure fitment with the slight variation from one frame to another. Now I know that it fits on frames shipped internationally. I just received the shock mount from Aaron and I will try to get the long-travel mount figured out. |

The derailleur hangers are black anodized now. I have about 35 in stock. A few more have gone out in the last couple of weeks. It's nice to keep these bikes up and running. Let's get some more of them out of the garage and onto the trails. If only I had the money to pick one up myself. I hear that they are nice and light. Here is my ride out on the local trails. A friend who worked at Santa Cruz gave me the frame as a gift. |

Finally I have the finished Terrashark derailleur hangers in my hand! The first batch were made from 6000 grade alu, and they did not survive my extensive testing... but this lot are aircraft grade 7000 and so far so good! For fellow Terrashark owners they are @ $20 each or $35 for 2, incl worldwide p & p. Let me know if you still need one, I have a Paypal account. |

In the spirit of competition, I have lowered my price and will now include free shipping worldwide. $22.00 for one shipped $40.00 for two shipped I am including two new 18-8 stainless steel screws with each hanger. I just did an actual count and I have 40 hangers in stock. I have sent over 20 of these all over the world (Australia, NZ, UK, Singapore, Malaysia and even my back yard in Vacaville, California) and everybody is happy with them. I have four guys here in Santa Cruz riding them. They found some weaknesses initially that I was able to fix so the part was dialed in before I shipped any out. If you have already ordered hangers and are thinking, "Hey! No fair! I paid more for mine and now they are cheaper," just hold on. I am working on something special for you to make up for it. |

This just in: One customer bought my hanger to put on a Reef/ T-Bolt with the aluminum swingarm. He was having interference problems so he is sending them back. I am going to try to rework them to get them to fit so I can offer hangers for those bikes too. Unfortunately, I don't have that bike to do a test fit, so this will be tricky. |

I have been way too busy lately. I have been working on a prototype part for the upcoming Interbike show in Las Vegas. I will get back to working on a couple of surprises for you EPX folks soon. I still have plenty of derailleur hangers in stock. |
