After a lot stuffing around with different CNC machine shops we now have the new shock mounts for the Terrashark in stock. These new mounts allow for the use of a 190mm long shock with 50mm of stroke to give 156mm or rear wheel travel. Ride height is increased and the frame will also need to be matched with a front fork with a travel around the 130mm mark. This mod realy makes the Terrashark more freeride competent. Mount will be supplied with shock bolt and nut and will cost $47.50 AUD plus $8.50 AUD for post to anywhere in the world.

Hi, i have a Proton T-bolt, thinking of converting it for freeride ...... but the rear swing is aluminium and is slightly different from your graphite ones .... is there anyway I can bolt on your updated shock mount for a 190mm shock with 50mm stroke. Does the front need to have 135mm travel can I use it with 80mm travel instead?

Hi Pete, I sent a couple of emails on the shock mounts.
Also hi Ang, The shock mount will fit the T-Bolt. You will need a 130-150mm travel for to match the upgrade.

Hi Evan,

I have a Marzocchi All Mountain 2 front shock with 150mm of travel, will I need to change my fork if i make this upgrade?

-Marty

PS
I've done some technical single track which had some steep DH sections with my Terrashark with my new Marzocchi fork, the bike is amazing, soaking up everything I ran over.  Thanks again for all the help.

Whoa...T-Bolt owner from Malaysia with alu swingarm...Before you decide to get this extended shock mount, do check the clearance between your swing-arm and FD. Mine is only 2mm. Not possible to have longer travel fork as it will slam-bam-thank-you-mam your FD.

How about those with carbon swingarm? Any FD clearance issue?

ive checked the clearance
its like u've said..just a merely 2mm
but for the shox mount i think is ok
cuz it just extended the shox length that can be fitted at the swing arm
the clearance not an issue i guess

Yeah...can anybody confirm that installing the extended shock mount does not push the swing arm down? And what's the suitable shock length to be used?

7.5inch is the ideal.. you can choose many branded shock and even the fox dhx can be used.. just make sure eye to eye is 7.5in(190cm).. kelolo, i've seen your blog man, quite interesting.. good work!!
