My son asked me what EPX stands for, which I couldn't answer - (never cross my mind before), & I don't want to bullshit him.

Any one here to assist me?

Is it,

Extra
Performance
Extreme
?

Hi Hanaz,

EP refers to the company that financed the design in Australia and then produced the bikes in Malaysia - "EP Manufacturing Bhd"
The X was just popular for products at the time and generally meant Extreme as you've guessed.
The carbon accessories were called EPXtras.

Hope that helps

Thanks Rob for the explanation. I didnt know it derives from the name of EPMB, an investment company.

Yeah...Thanks Rob. I'd like to record that I really admire your no ending passion and desire for EPX that you continue to voluntarily support it even though it's no longer in production. Been a great help...Salute mister!

Thanks kelolo,
Now I'll feel bad about not having yet put up all the other EPX material I've got here. I'll get around to it soon!

Yes, Rob. Still waiting for the photos of the production.

Do you still keep 31.6mm EPXtras seatpost?

Evan is currently selling the last remaining unbranded seatposts on eBay here.

It looks like there are three left. I've got 2 myself. These are the same as the ones that had the EPXtras label.. and they're the long 400mm version.

Get in quick if you need one

Props to Robert for keeping the EPX bike site running, without epxbikes.com we'd be scattered over the WWW...
