Hey everybody,
I'm new to the EPX forum but I've been riding my Terrashark for years. I realize that the company went out of business several years ago, but has this increased or decreased the value of the bikes since parts will become increasingly harder to find? How much do Terrasharks sell for these days? Also, has anyone had any problems with frames breaking on Terrasharks as this has been a worry of mine that I wish to know before I upgrade my bike much further? Currently my Terrashark is stock with the exception of swapping the original brakes which crapped out for Clarks Skeletal front and rear which are a big improvement, a new back wheel as the original hub broke from wear and tear, and a new rear derailleur and derailleur hanger, both of which broke as the result of a crash. It really stinks that EPX bikes are so rare cause the bikes rock! |

Second hard price... priceless. A Terrashark attracts attention, too much sometimes. Worries me it might get stolen :p I haven't encountered any issues with my frame... no breaks in the carbon. Personally I'd upgrade and if the worse happens mourn its loss and transplant the parts to another frame. |

| Thanks for the info. I've always wanted to upgrade mine but have been gun-shy about dropping the money on a dying breed. Even if it is the sickest bike ever. |

| i believe ur fox float rc is 165 x 38mm , hmm longest go up to 130mm travel i tried b4 , but to balance it up i quickly buy a extended shock mount from the forum and install so its more balance , and more FR completable...maybe can consider Am bike hahas =) |

| travel is the distance the rear wheel travels when compress to it's maximum. Like when the bike hits a rock, ditch...it compresses and rebounds (damping..goes for both the front and rear suspension meaning how fast it compresses and rebounds. you don't want a pogo stick on the trail. have fun and thanks for the email Paul |

| Hey Logan.....i just bought a Terrashark as well. I'm a newbe and when i saw the bike I just had to have it. Now I have to replace the front forks and have the rear shock reworked. Oh well it's just money. I'm getting the rear shock reworked as I can't afford to spend the dough for a new one..ski season is coming real soon!!! When i initially rode it on the down hill course at the Snowbasin ski area it was a nightmare. I must have fallen a dozen times....a couple of them were almost lights out. I dipped into my savings and bought a Specialized Big Hit..man what a difference in my riding, I actually had fun!!! Only two crashes..not too bad. I decided to up grade the front forks and overhaul the rear shock. hell there wasn't any rebound...damping compression or rebound. So I'm stuck with two bikes. oh well I like em both and I really don't think I have to worry too much about things breaking. If my Terrashark didn't break in those falls I don't think I have to worry too much. Did you find out what these bikes are going for??? just interested. I suppose i could up grade the brakes but they seem to work ok. My Big hit has big disks and is hydraulically activated. hey good luck to you..keep in touch ok? later...Paul |

| I agree that this bike attracts attention...I bought one just because the way it looked. I have to spend some money on it ...front and rear suspension. When i get into this sport a bit longer i'll be able to know what's happening. In the mean time....I'll just keep riding my KTM..boo hoo. |
